As a follow-on to our previous announcement (https://status.appcenter.ms/incidents/7930rkfgtg1y) for deprecating the App Center Release Upload APIs and the corresponding deprecation of old versions of the App Center CLI (tied to the shutdown of HockeyApp services), we have an update to share below:

As mentioned in the previous announcement, the following APIs are slated for deprecation (and have been marked as such in https://openapi.appcenter.ms)
- POST /v0.1/apps/{owner_name}/{app_name}/release_uploads
- PATCH /v0.1/apps/{owner_name}/{app_name}/release_uploads/{upload_id}

Update Instructions:
- If you are using the App Center CLI, please make sure to update to the latest version (2.7.3).
- If you are using the API directly and cannot use the CLI, we have now also updated our documentation to outline the steps you need to take to update existing direct API clients:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/appcenter/distribution/uploading#upload-new-release
- If you are using the Azure DevOps Task please make sure you are using the latest version (3+).
- If you are using the Jenkins Plugin, it has now been updated in 0.11.0 to use the new API endpoints: https://github.com/jenkinsci/appcenter-plugin/releases
- If you are using the App Center portal to upload releases directly, no action is required.

In addition, we are temporarily extending the deprecation date to March 1, 2021 to allow further time for you to update your code. We will post another update as we get closer to this date.
